SX8F DXpedition στην βραχονησίδα Φαλκονέρα

Μια παρέα από Έλληνες Ραδιοερασιτέχνες όλοι μέλη της ΕΕΡ ,οι SV1JG Kλεάνθης, SV1RC Σπύρος, SV1EEX Νικηφόρος , SV1GRM Θοδωρής, SW1GZL Λυκούργος, SV1HER Σωτήρης , SV1HHC Διονύσιος και SV1IZR Μάκης,  προγραμμάτισαν τη dxpedition στην βραχονησίδα Φαλκονέρα (IOTA: EU-113, MIA: MG-087) με παράλληλη ενεργοποίηση του φάρου (ARLHS: GRE 012 , WLOTA: L0740, TWLHD-WLH: SV-029) που βρίσκεται στη νησίδα με το ίδιο διακριτικό SX8F.

Από όσο γνωρίζουμε πρόκειται για την πρώτη ενεργοποίηση της βραχονησίδας και του φάρου. Επιπλέον το νησί είναι ακατοίκητο. Γι αυτό και σκοπεύουμε να δείξουμε τον απαραίτητο σεβασμό στην χλωρίδα και την πανίδα της περιοχής που προστατεύται από την συνθήκη NATURA 2000.

Θα δουλέψουμε σε όλες τις μπάντες από 160 ως 6 μ και επιπλέον στα VHF & UHF με σκοπό να έχουμε επικοινωνία με ΟΛΟΥΣ τους Έλληνες Ραδιοερασιτέχνες που το επιθυμούν. Επίσης θα προσπαθήσουμε να ακουστούμε και μέσω ραδιοερασιτεχνικών δορυφόρων άλλά και στα SHF.

SY8V - διπλή Dx-pedition Φάρος Μουδάρι – Σπαθί, Κύθηρα 26-28 Μαΐου 2006 & Φάρος Απολυτάραις,  Αντικύθηρα 2 & 3 Ιουνίου 2006 Special Call: SY8V Χειριστές: SV1HER, SV1GRM, SW1GZL (μέχρι τώρα). 1η Dx-pedition από 26-28 Μαΐου 2006 Κύθηρα IOTA:EU-113, MIA:MG-062  Φάρος Μουδάρι / Σπαθί,  WLOTA:L- 1703, ARLHS:GRE-120, WLH:SV-084 & 2η dx-pedition στις 2 & 3 Ιουνίου 2006 Αντικύθηρα IOTA:EU-113, MIA:MG-014 Φάρος Απολυτάραις, WLOTA:L-0298, ARLHS:GRE-040, WLH:SV-011.   Μετά την επιτυχία του αντίστοιχου event πέρυσι ήρθε η στιγμή για μια ακόμα dx pedition στο 2006.

HAMSAT (or VUsat) is the latest Amateur Radio satellite in orbit. It is India's first.

"We congratulate all who have worked for the hamsat and its successful launch," said Sandip Shah, VU3SXE, AMSAT-India's treasurer, who was at the control center in Bangalore, India, for the May 5 launch. The satellite went aloft from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR in Sriharikota.

Going into space with the 42.5 kg HAMSAT was the primary payload--the 1560 kg Indian remote sensing satellite, CARTOSAT-1. The spacecraft were placed into polar sun synchronous orbits at an altitude of 632 x 621 km with an equatorial inclination of 97.8 degrees.
HAMSAT will provide two new linear mode U/V transponders for SSB and CW use only. Only one transponder will be active at any given time. AMSAT-India indicates the UHF uplink will be in the 435.35 MHz range, while the VHF downlink will be in the 145.90 MHz range. Details are not yet available.

Dutch graduate student William Leijenaar, PE1RAH, who designed one of the transponders aboard HAMSAT, saw the PSLV-C6 vehicle carry the satellite skyward from SDSC SHAR. "It was very interesting to see how my radio finally went into space," he said afterward. "It is the best ham radio experience in my life." Leijenaar said reports he'd received indicated that the onboard computer was showing the batteries and solar panels working normally. "We just are a few days away from 'CQ CQ HAMSAT' QSOs," he said.

The satellite has not yet been given an OSCAR designation.

A team of 16 radio amateurs in VK3 will activate special event callsign AX3ITU to mark the 140th birthday of the International Telecommunications Union.
Amateur Radio Victoria aims to have the have AX3ITU on air virtually the entire 24 hours UTC on Tuesday 17th of May.
It will be available on CW, Phone, PSK31 and an amateur satellite on the day. Three of the team, VK3QI, VK3ANJ and VK3YR, will concentrate on CW on the 40, 30 and 20 metre bands.
Phone operation will be on the 80, 40, 20 and 2-metre bands, while PSK31 is to target 80 and 40 metres.
A commemorative QSL card will be available for contacts. QSL information is direct to VK3WI QTHR or via the bureau.

•  The "Victory Day" Award Operation is organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. The Operation will be conducted from 1 to 15 May 2005.

•  23 special-event stations (including 18 district and 5 central stations) will participate. They will be distinguished by two characters VD (Victory Day) in their call-sign suffixes.

•  The VD special-event station operating schedules will be published on PZK web sites: www.ot25.pzk.org.pl and www.pzk.org.pl

•  To obtain the "Victory Day" Award, EU stations should score 30 points and DX stations 10 points. No more than two contacts with the same special-event station will be counted for the Award, however, contacts with the same station must be made:

a)  either on different bands, or
b)  with different modes, or
c)   on two different days.

•  Points scored by working special-event stations:

a)  District stations (3Z1VD, 3Z2VD, 3Z3VD, 3Z4VD, 3Z5VD, 3Z6VD, 3Z7VD, 3Z8VD, 3Z9VD, HF1VD, HF2VD, HF3VD, HF4VD, HF5VD, HF6VD, HF7VD, HF8VD, HF9VD): 3 points each;
b)  Central stations (3Z60VD, HF60VD, SN60VD, SP60VD, SQ60VD): 5 points each.

•  The following stickers will be available: "Excellent" (for logging all the 23 VD stations); "Splendid" (for logging all the 23 VD stations at least twice each, with either different modes or on different bands).

•  The Award Sponsor will publish the list of stations which have fulfilled the "Victory Day" Award Rules on the PZK web sites by 15 July 2005.

8. Foreign stations will be granted the "Victory Day" Awards free of charge. No applications are required. However, sticker winners should send extracts from their logs via e-mail to: ot25@pzk.org.pl

9. "Victory Day" Awards will be sent to respective national QSL Bureaus. The operators who do not use Bureau services are requested to send their postal addresses via e-mail to: ot25@pzk.org.pl
