CQ4IPY International Polar Year Certificate

Dear Friends,

Celebrating the 4th International Polar Year 2007/2008, Portugal has been represented by the Oficial Special Event Amateur Radio Station CQ4IPY . The importance of this Celebration gave to all participants the chance to get a Special CERTIFICATE . The CQ4IPY Certificate it's for all Amateur Radio Operators and SWL who can

 REQUIREMENTS

The Award includes two categories:

 1st Category: Contacts with 34 cities (all).

2nd Category: Contacts with 16 cities minimum.

 A diploma shall be awarded for both Categories.

.A list with all information about the contacts is required, and the Award Manager of the national society (an IARU member) or two licensed radio amateurs must certify it.

 Diploma cost for both categories is 10 IRC’s or 10 Euro.

"Work All Greece in Digital Mode" Award


General Info:     The award is issued to radio amateurs or listeners who have had PSK or RTTY contacts with stations in all Greek Regions SV1-SV9

Only contacts made after January 1st 1958 count as valid.

 
Rules:  The Award is given for contacts made with PSK or RTTY ONLY (not in mixed mode rtty + psk).
 
Requirements:  The Award includes one category


Contacts with 9 regions (all) in psk or rtty.

A diploma shall be awarded for this category.

.A list with all information about the contacts is required, and the Award Manager of the national society (an IARU member) or two licensed radio amateurs must certify it.

 Diploma cost is 10 IRC’s or 10 Euro.

"THE EUROPE" Award


General Info: The award is issued to radio amateurs or listeners who have had contacts with stations in all European radio countries or with a minimum of 40 counties according to the below listed catalogue (72 total).
Only contacts made after January 1 st 1958 count as valid
 
Rules: The Award is given for contacts made on CW, SSB, RTTY, or Mixed Mode.
 
Requirements: The Award includes two categories:


1st Category:
Contacts with 7
1 countries (all).

2nd Category: Contacts with 40 countries minimum.

A diploma shall be awarded for both Categories.

" THE ANCIENT CITIES " Award


General Info: The award is issued to radio amateurs or listeners who have had contacts with stations in or near ancient Greek cities according to the below listed catalogue. Only contacts made after January 1 st 1958 count as valid.
 
Rules: The Award is given for contacts made on CW, SSB, RTTY, or Mixed Mode.
 
Requirements: The Award includes two categories:


1st Category:
Contacts with 40 cities

2nd Category: Contacts with 20 cities

Athens Summer Olympic Games Award 2004

General Info: The award is issued to radio amateurs or listeners who have had contacts with different Greek stations for the period of 15 May till 31 of December 2004. Special prefixes J4, SX, SY will count for 10 points , SV prefixes count for 5 points , R.A.A.G.'s club station SZ1SV or SX1O count for 50 points . Club station SZ1SV or SX1O can be worked on more than one band to give extra 50 points (per band irrespectively of mode). All other stations count once, irrespectively of band / mode . Stations taking part on SVHAM Olympic countdown program count as one from each call area, SV9A-SX1A (SX9A /99 /98 ./91 count as SX9A)
 
Rules: The Award is given for contacts made on CW, SSB, RTTY, or Mixed Mode from 1.8 MHz to 50 MHz
 
Requirements: The Award includes three categories:
 
1st Gold: Contacts with Greek stations collecting 500 points. The diploma bears the picture of the relief base of a Kouros statue showing a game, the ancestor of hockey, 510 b.C

2nd Silver:
Contacts with Greek stations collecting 350 points. The diploma bears the picture of the relief base of a Kouros statue showing wrestlers, 510 b.C

3d Bronze:
Contacts with Greek stations collecting 250 points. The diploma bears the picture of the relief base of a Kouros statue showing runners, 510 b.C.

A list with all information about the contacts is required and the Award Manager of the national society (an IARU member) or two licensed radio amateurs must certify it. Diploma cost for all categories is 10 IRC's or 10 Euro. Please send your list (or cards) to the following address:

Greek Islands Award

The award is available for working 10 contacts with at least 3 different groups of Greek islands as follows:


CRETE
DODECANNESE
IONIAN
EUBOEA
CYCLADES
SPORADES
LESBOS
CHIOS
THASOS - SAMOTHRACE
IKARIA - LIMNOS


Awards are issued for 2-way SSB, 2-way CW or Mixed mode, Single Band and Mixed Band.
QSLs are not necessary. Applications must be accompanied by a certified list of QSLs (checked and signed by two amateurs) together with 10 IRC's or 10 Euro to:

Athenian Award

Work (2 way any mode) 25 different Stations situated in the greater
Athens area from the following 3 categories:

Category 1:
Diploma awarded for QSO's on 160 and 80 meters
Category 2: Diploma awarded for QSO's on 40 and 30 meters
Category 3: Diploma awarded for QSO's on the other bands

QSL's are not necessary. Send your application accompanied by a certified list of QSL's (checked and signed by two amateurs) together with 10 IRC's or 10 Euro to:

RAAG Award

The award is available for working contacts with at least 7 different Greek stations from seven out of the nine SV call areas (SV1-SV9).

SV1 - Central Greece
SV2 - Macedonia
SV3 - Peloponnese
SV4 - Thessaly
SV5 - Dodecannese
SV6 - Epirus
SV7 - East Macedonia - Thrace
SV8 - Greek Islands
SV9 - Crete

Alexander the Great Award

This award is intended for Radio Amateurs or Listeners who have had contacts with countries crossed by Alexander The Great. One contact counts from each country, except for Greece with which at least two contacts should be made, one of them being SV2 call area (Macedonia).

The Award includes two categories:
1st Category: A diploma plus a Plaque with the face of Alexander The Great will be awarded for Contacts with all countries listed below (25 total)
2nd Category: A diploma will be awarded for Contacts with 15 countries (SV2 and SV or SV5 obligatory)
A list of all information about the confirmed contacts is required, and the IARU or RAAG's Award Manager must certify it. If the nominee is not a member of an association coming under IARU , they must dispatch the cards.
All Bands may be used for the contacts and SSB, CW, RTTY or Mixed Mode.
Valid contacts made only after January 1st 1958.
